Nefeli and Vasilis both grew up in Konitsa, a picturesque town in Epirus, where their paths often crossed but never truly intertwined. Life carried on, until a few years ago, when a party in their hometown brought them together again. That night changed everything — they fell in love, and their journey as a couple began.
Vasilis’ family roots are tied to Kastania, a small traditional village in Epirus. For the community, it was a profound honor to host their wedding there. In fact, this was the first wedding in Kastania since the 1980s, making it not only a celebration of love but also a revival of tradition. Villagers shared their joy and expressed their wish for more young couples to choose Kastania for their own weddings, keeping the village’s spirit alive through moments of love and togetherness.
The ceremony was deeply emotional, enriched by Nefeli’s heartfelt letter to Vasilis — a letter inspired by Plato’s Symposium, one of philosophy’s most beautiful meditations on love. It was a reminder that true love is not about extravagance, but about connection, devotion, and the union of two souls.
